The act of bodybuilding requires effort, determination, knowledge, to truly achieve a worthwhile physique, something that is attractive to look at. As Arnold says, you are like a sculpture, a work of art. Here are some examples of people who have failed to achieve that either by taking pathetic short cuts, going too far, or, in one particular case, just being downright scary - you’ll know who we’re talking about when you get to it.

No. 1

Greg Valentino is the daddy of all bodybuilding freaks. If you don’t know who he is by that name you might know him as the man whose arms exploded. Yes, that’s right, Valentino injected so much Synthol, a synthetic oil which increases muscle size only in a cosmetic capacity, directly into his arms that his arm actually haemorrhaged. After attempting to drain the excess blood and pus himself, this joker finally went to hospital where a surgeon cut into his arm to remove the infection. To this day, Valentino is self conscious of the scar on his bicep, but not of his freakish fake muscles.

Worse still, he is not alone in mutilating his body through Synthol abuse. Just look at Popeye here. No 2 on the list.

                           ”Where’s me spinach Olives’g?”

And how about this gimp at No 3?

Hmm…thirty inch arms and only curling forty k, interesting.

Below we have No 4 and 5. Now we have no issue with female bodybuilders that wind up looking like scary men. For them they are fulfilling a dream. They consider themselves beautiful and as we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But we could not resist posting these two photos.

We have no idea who either of these women are, but the first one looks like the Hulk did in the Edward Norton movie, and the second is simply terrifying isn’t she? Not because of her physique, but look at her goddamn face. She looks like she was in the middle of taking a shit and someone told her she won the lottery.

Hulk…constipated!

See the resemblance?

No. 6 Below is Rodrigo Ferraz. Apparently, he’s a “down to earth fitness educator and model” but the only possible thing he can educate you on is how shit implants (or maybe Synthol abuse again) can make you look and why it’s best to simply work out and get real muscles.

Nob jockey. He posts multiple videos of himself in his bedroom dancing about and flexing his tits. We don’t know what he’s saying, but presumably it’s his idea of an exercise video.

Point and laugh at the freak everybody!

No 7: As with Ferraz, we’re not quite sure if this is implants as the article it was attached to suggested, or just another case of Synthol abuse.

Either way…

What a loser. Just look at the self loathing written all over his face.

But maybe you think we’re being too harsh on these people, judging them by our own work ethics and ideal of physical beauty, and maybe we are, but then again, with the exception of scary face, probably not.

Bodybuilding fail No 8 standing next to No 7

We believe that most of the people in this article serve only to tarnish the sport of bodybuilding in general and cheapen the results gotten by those who have trained hard and used supplements responsibly and with correct knowledge, not simply transformed themselves into chemical based freaks. The examples included in this article are walking talking reasons for why bodybuilders, weight lifters, and steroids in general are consistently misunderstood by most of society, and it is crucial to note that they represent only a small minority in the wide world of fitness culture.

Now the rant is over, just for laughs here’s No 9 and 10, bodybuilding/tanning fail
